There were hardly any other places to eat for dinner. Yumori had some frozen meals which were inexpensive and surprisingly delicious. The miso pork was so good i had it twice. They serve it with rice and the freshest salad. The women at reception were very helpful and cheerful. My private room was spacious unlike in the newer hotels I've stayed in. Had my own toilet which is a big plus. The free shuttle from fukushima station was handy, but it's also just an easy public bus ride if you want to get there earlier. The town itself is small and quiet. It gives you a respite from noise and crowds and is just perfect for re-energising. I just loved it there.

The staff were out of this world. The room was incredibly spacious with a balcony overlooking the river. Futon beds were incredibly comfy. The staff speak English as well which is super helpful. The reason why this hostel is getting full stars and why they were just incredible is the staff. I had to go to hospital during the stay and they went out of their way organising a minibus to take us and ensuring that we had dinner on the way back as the local restaurants were closed. The onsen here was just remarkable - very clean. Overall, cannot recommend this hostel enough! Special thanks to Yereem and the team!

Every single thing was amazing. The dorm and bed was so nice, spacious and comfy. Everything is super duper clean, it all looks new. The staff are so so nice, really very polite and friendly and helpful. All their equipment is really good, from the kitchen oven, microwave, stove etc to their rental bicycle (I've rented all over Japan but never got such an amazing one like they have here). It was very hard to leave. And the onsen was nice with a view of the forest outside. I had a wonderful 2 days here. Such good value. Best hostel I've ever stayed in!

Friendly and helpful staff who speak English. There’s a cafe area downstairs with plenty of areas to hang out, food you can order, and books/cards to look at. They also have a free shuttle service to and from Fukushima station. The Onsen’s are tattoo friendly! The town it’s located in is really beautiful, with small shops, restaurants, and trails to explore. It was totally worth it to stay here and enjoy the hot springs and peaceful atmosphere after a long day of excursions!

This place is a hidden gem in the world of Japanese onsen towns! Budget friendly gorgeous inn, targeting people who want either private rooms or dorms. Large kitchen and dining area to make your own food, and really nice onsen with view of the forest. The twin room was huge and had a great view of the river. They offer some snacks and tap beer, and otherwise can help you find food in the area. There’s also a free shuttle to/from Fukushima station every day!
